Monthly Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament, February 15

5 PM: Signup starts

7 PM: Main Bracket starts

 

Bracket is capped at 64 people

 

Entry Fee: $10 ($5 venue, $5 for the prize pool)

 

Rules:

 

-3 Stock

-7 min

-Best of 3

-Double elimination bracket

-Stage list will be announced at the tournament

 

After winning your set, please report it immediately to the TO (tournament organizer).

 

Payouts: Out of all the prize pool money collected from entrants, payouts will be broken down as follows to the top 3 competitors:

1st place: 60%

2nd place: 30%

3rd place: 10%

NAVA Gamer Gathering, January 26: "Government Shutdown Edition"

NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, and chatter.

Previously at NAVA...
- In our last episode, we celebrated the season of "re-gifting", where attendees who contributed to the videogame gift pool also received some cool and unique gifts! Don't miss this next year!
- The arcade game challenge was Burgertime. Chris A got his name up on the big champions board again with his high score of 55,550.
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.

NAVA Gamer's Gathering, December 29th: "The Re-Gifting Season"

NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, and chatter.

Previously at NAVA...
- In our last episode, we celebrated Thanksgiving with a cornucopia of gaming favorites set up everywhere for free play. We are thankful for our attendees and customers as we enter into our FOURTEENTH year!
- The arcade game challenge was Moon Patrol. Matthew Dobles put up 53,300 points and will be added to the store's huge arcade high scoreboard.
- At 6pm we hosted a Mario Kart 64 tournament!
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.

Monthly Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament, December 21st

5 PM: Signup starts
7 PM: Main Bracket starts

Bracket is capped at 64 people. However, we will allow you to join if you bring a setup (Switch with all characters unlocked and a Gamecube controller adapter), even if the bracket is full. Space for additional setups is limited.

Entry Fee: $10 ($5 venue, $5 for the prize pool)

Stage list and rules TBD.

NAVA Gamer's Gathering, November 24: "Cornucopia of Gaming"

NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, and chatter.

Previously at NAVA...
- In our last episode, we celebrated Halloween, attendees got into the spirit by doing their October cosplay thing.
- We stacked Sonic & Knuckles cartridges one on top of the other, 28 in total! Why? Because we could. A video of this feat is forthcoming.
- The arcade game challenge was Wizard of Wor. Chris A took home the $20 prize.
- At 6pm we hosted a costume contest. Ben as "Benedict Belmonto" (a Castlevania original character) won best costume, David as "Nintendo Laboette" was most original, and Nicci as "Casual Sata" won scariest!
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.

Monthly Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Tournament, November 16th

5 PM: Signup starts
7 PM: Main Bracket starts

Bracket is capped at 64 people. However, we will allow you to join if you bring a setup, even if the bracket is full.
Entry Fee: $10 ($5 venue, $5 for the prize pool)

For those who wish to assist, please bring all of the following:

- A Wii U
- A gamepad
- A GameCube controller adapter
- A copy of Smash 4
- All DLC characters downloaded (Cloud, Bayonetta, Corrin, Roy, Mewtwo, Lucas, Ryu)

The more consoles we have, the more stations to play at, and the smoother the entire night goes!

Rules: 

Rounds are best 2/3 games (Semi-Finals and Finals are best 3/5)
Double elimination

NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, and chatter.

Previously at NAVA...
- In our last episode, we celebrated "back to school". Rockstar's "Bully", American Technos "River City Ransom" and a Sega Pico were among the game setups!
- The arcade game challenge was Mikie. Aristotle bounced the most digital classmates and took home the $20 prize.
- At 6pm we hosted a Rival Schools tournament. Aristotle won this one too, smashing all competitors for the championship!
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.

- In our last episode, we celebrated the history of Sega Genesis. Three Genesis stations were set up around the store.
- The arcade game challenge was SegaSonic The Hedgehog. Chris A once again took home the $20 prize.
- At 6pm we hosted a Road Rash II tournament. Stephanie M zoomed past all competitors for the championship!
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.
