NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, and chatter.

Previously at NAVA...
- We celebrated Sega Saturn's 30th anniversary with games for that system all over the store.
- Special guest star Adam Koralik was our special guest, bringing with him the SEGA PLUTO prototype - an unreleased variant of the Saturn - one of only two functioning units in the entire world!
- The arcade challenge was RADIANT SILVERGUN. The high score winner Justin T put up the high score of 548400, earning the coveted "arcade champion" $20 gift certificate.
- The 6pm tournament was SATURN BOMBERMAN. Justin T swept the day's events by taking the tournament as well, netting himself an additional $20 prize.
- Gamers, collectors and friends shared their recent adventures and sold or traded their goods.

In This Month's NAVA: We're using the term "mascots" to represent any character that is playable by us, the human gamers. Videogame mascots are typically fun and sometimes zany. A plumber, a hedgehog, a bandicoot. But there are entire universes (game series) built around the wildest characters you'll ever get to play. Try your hand at the Prince of Katamary Damacy, a worm in a spacesuit called Earthworm Jim, two funky aliens trapped on Earth and known as ToeJam & Earl, and many more! Bring your zany self and play some of these weirdos with your fellow weirdos (that's us)!

Arcade Challenge: In 1982 Gottlieb and designer Warren Davis brought us Q*BERT. The bug-eyed, snouted creature that hops from cube to cube will be your mascot for the day. Be the best at this game on this day by logging the highest score on our arcade cabinet by 9pm and win a nifty $20 gift certificate. Arcade challenge games are set to FREE PLAY all day, but please remember to let everyone get a shot. If you get the high score, move on, and no hogging the cabinet! Also if you have won last month’s arcade challenge you are not eligible to win this month’s challenge.

6PM Tournament: How about a game where practically every character is born of wild imagination? A fighting game where a talking bear, a ninja with a robot arm, a wrestler in a jaguar mask, an android with a mohawk and more even stranger characters square off? You guessed it, our tournament game is TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT. Are you the best of the best? Let's find out. Sign-ups begin at 3pm, the tournament starts after 6pm in this first-come, first-served and as always at NAVA, FREE-to-join tournament.

Remember, you can bring a box or two of your trade goodies. We'll help you administer sales and get you set up somewhere in the store to sell your goods, there is no charge for this perk, NAVA is the time for trading! Also, if you have a Digital Press or NAVA t-shirt, wear them for a for an additional 5% discount on the store's already low-low prices!
