NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, and chatter.

Previously at NAVA...
- It was our annual Christmas Gift Grab, one month late! Attendees exchanged mysterious "Secret Santa" gifts, videogaming in nature, of course.
- - The arcade challenge was SNOW BROS. Our high score winner was Romelo D who dashed his way to 146,240 and earned the day's high score challenge and a $20 gift certificate.
- Gamers, collectors and friends shared their recent adventures and sold or traded their goods.

In This Month's NAVA: WELCOME TO PIXEL-CON 2023! At this month's NAVA, gamers from around the globe will congregate to celebrate our favorite 8-Bit gaming systems. Anti-aliasing? PSHAW! Photo-realism? GAH! Analog shoulder buttons? HAW HAW! NO. On this day, we are jagged, digital, lo-fi gamers, all. NES, Atari, Intellivision, Master System... we are legion.

As always, there will be game systems set up around the store for everyone to play, featuring this month's theme!

Arcade Challenge: Steve Hanawa is a Sega game designer who is best known for his work on the coin-op Turbo, but also worked on Monster Bash and Sindbad Mystery, even doing some console work with Master system Monopoly and Genesis Columns. But his FIRST game was the 1980 gem TRANQUILIZER GUN! Be the best at this game on this one day by logging the highest score on our arcade cabinet by 9pm and win a nifty $20 gift certificate. Arcade challenge games are set to FREE PLAY all day, but please remember to let everyone get a shot. If you get the high score, move on, and no hogging the cabinet! Also if you have won last month’s arcade challenge you are not eligible to win this month’s challenge.

Tournament! Let's try this again, our favorite PIXELATED head to head fighting game... it's KARATE for the Atari 2600! How hard could it be to win? Four directions, one button, one opponent. Piece of cake! If you can figure out how the scoring actually works, anyway. Who among NAVA members can punch and kick their opponent's faces the best? Let's find out. Sign-ups begin at 3pm, the tournament starts after 6pm and its first-come, first-served in this FREE-to-join tournament.

Remember, feel free to bring a box or two of your trade goodies. We'll help you administer sales and get you set up somewhere in the store to sell your goods. NAVA is a time for trading!
