NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, and chatter.

Previously at NAVA...

- We did a little bit of TOP GUNning all day and night, with AfterBurner, River Raid, StarFox, Ace Combat and Propeller Arena (the unreleased Dreamcast game).

- Gamers, collectors and friends shared their recent adventures and sold or traded their goods.

- The arcade challenge was "1942". Our high score winner earned the day's TOP GUN challenge and a $20 gift certificate.

In This Month's NAVA: We're celebrating one of our favorite game series of all time, Nintendo's Punch-Out!! We will have every version running: the original arcade, the Super Punch-Out!! coin op, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! on NES, Super Punch-Out!! on Super NES, and Punch-Out!! for the Wii. Which one is your favorite?

DID YOU KNOW?: The original Punch-Out!! arcade game was designed with two monitors partially because Nintendo was sitting on a ton of extra monitors when the popularity of Donkey Kong had died down. Mike Tyson had never played the game until a Fox Sports special challenged him to do so in 2013, and the real Mike Tyson could not beat Glass Joe! You also may have heard the rumor that Nintendo stopped using Mike Tyson because of his rape conviction, but the fact is the license to use his name was only for three years, and though he was no longer the heavyweight champ when it was time to renew, he had not yet been charged for any such crime.

Arcade Challenge: The original Punch-Out!! of course. We have the original cabinet and it will be free to play all day. Be the best at this game on this one day by logging the highest score on our arcade cabinet by 9pm and win a nifty $20 gift certificate. Arcade challenge games are set to FREE PLAY all day, but please remember to let everyone get a shot. If you get the high score, move on, and no hogging the cabinet! Also if you have won last month’s arcade challenge you are not eligible to win this month’s challenge.

Remember, feel free to bring a box or two of your trade goodies. We'll help you administer sales and get you set up somewhere in the store to sell your goods. NAVA is a time for trading!
