Happy NAVA Year!

NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, & chatter.

Previously at NAVA...
- In our last episode we celebrated the 25th Anniversary of Digital Press, the fanzine not the store.
- To celebrate we made a special hack of Super Mario Bros. called “Super NAVA Joe”. 
-We also held a Pong tournament as well & our top 3 players were Steve R. in third, Matt “Nacho” in second, & the “Vigilante” was our grand champion.
- The arcade challenge was Baseball Stars Professional & for the first time in NAVA history we had a tie, both Chris A. & Brian C. won with 6 runs each, & walked away with a $20 gift certificates as their prize.
- Games & systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.

Super Smash Bros. for WiiU Tournament, December 23rd "'Twas the Smash Before Christmas"

Friday Night Fisticuffs is our monthly tournament we hold every Friday mid-way through the month, where we have a competition, games set up to play, and most importantly CASH PRIZES!

At our last tournament…

-It was once again time for a Street Fighter V tournament. 
-Our top 3 players were KDZ in third, RNV took second, & Danslip was our champion for the night!
-After KDZ’s defeat to RNV he had to walk his way to Burger King to get an ice cream cone to help ease the pain.
-The top 3 players won themselves some cash prizes!

Previously at NAVA...
- In our last episode, we celebrated our store’s 10th anniversary and 20 years of NAVA!
- Our NAVA tournament was a roulette of games through the ages & Aristotle won first place and took home the trophy!
- We had 10 arcade challenges on all 10 of our arcade machines that day & multiple people walked away with gift certificates, some with more than one!
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.

- In last month's event, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of Donkey Kong Country with Donkey Konga, Diddy Kong Racing, and bananas. Lots and lots of bananas!
- The tournament was a high score challenge on Donkey Kong Tournament Edition and the arcade challenge was Crazy Kong.
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.

NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, and chatter.

Previously at NAVA...
- In our last episode, NAVA became "Handheld Gaming Expo 2013". Dozens of 70's and 80's dedicated handhelds were put on display and out to play.
- We celebrated the store's first employee Jenn's last week in NJ (though we expect her to visit).
- The arcade challenge was Depth Charge. Devin M walked away with the $20 prize.
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.

NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, and chatter.

Previously at NAVA...
- In November, we celebrated the games that were never commercially released for our favorite systems: homebrews and prototypes.
- A special exhibit of prototypes and homebrews was spread out over two tables, courtesy of Videogame History Museum.
- The arcade challenge was Atari's "Weather War" (aka "Cloud 9" in MAME) Chris A won the challenge yet again.
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.
