Super Smash Bros. Melee Tournament, February 17th
Friday Night Fisticuffs is our monthly tournament we hold every Friday mid-way through the month, where we have a competition, games set up to play, and most importantly CASH PRIZES!
At our last tournament…
-It was once again time for another Street Fighter V tournament.
- “Mini-Melee” made an appearance once again & raised many an eyebrow.
-Our top 3 competitors were Shinigami in third, J-Rossa took second, & Danslip was our champion for the night.
-Fourth place was GameZone Tempo & he went home with an empty box of Street Fighter II Topps cards.
See it all in our photo gallery section at the store's website and feel free to comment!
This month’s tournament: A lot of people have been asking for it & we’ve been listening so here it is, this month’s tournament will be Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo GameCube! There will be a $10 entry fee & the top 3 players will receive CASH PRIZES! The cash prizes final amount is based on the total amount of entries, so tell your friends! The more people who enter the more money you could win. Registration begins at 5PM and the tournament begins at 7PM & there will be a 64 player limit so get there before everyone else does. More details about the tournament will be listed below. There will also be consoles set up around the store such as last time for casual play for spectators or competitors to play as they wait for their match or for the tournament to begin.
Before anyone asks, yes we will be playing on CRT television sets. We have plenty of GameCube consoles, hook-ups & CRT TV sets, but we could use a few extra copies of Melee. If you let us know in advance that you can lend us a copy of Melee for the event we will save you a spot on the sign-up sheet, you will still have to pay the $10 entry fee though.
