This Month's NAVA: It’s time for NAVA to boldly go where no NAVA has gone before; it’s NAVA in Space! We will be venturing into the final frontier with Vectrex in hand. There will be Intellevision titles like Astrosmash & Atari 2600 games like… well just about half the library takes place in space.

Arcade challenge! It’s time to save Kimberly in Don Bluth’s classic Space Ace! Struggle with Dexter to regain his manhood. Destroy the Infanto Ray. Defeat the evil Borf. Be valiant, space warrior, the fate of Earth is in your hands. Be the best at the game on this one day by logging the highest score on our arcade cabinet by 9pm & win a nifty $20 gift certificate & possibly get your name added to the "House Champion" tournament plaque on the Wall of Fame just above the arcade section of the store. Arcade challenge games are set to FREE PLAY all day, but please remember to let everyone get a shot. If you get the high score, move on, & no hogging the cabinet! Also if you have won last month’s NAVA arcade challenge you are no eligible to win this month’s challenge.

Tournament! Let’s admit it, Space Invaders on the SNES was a bit of a let-down; it’s a direct port of the arcade game with not much extra added to it. What they did add was a Vs. Mode & it’s awesome! This puts you up against another player with side by side invaders & the first player to shoot down all the invaders on their side wins, but it isn’t quite that easy. You see every time you clear a line of invaders it adds another line to your opponent’s side, & then there’s the colored invaders. Certain invaders will flash different colors & depending on what color they are dictates what they do when shot; green invaders clear the whole row, blue drops your opponent’s invaders down a level, yellow drops your invaders down a level, red drops both side’s invaders down a level & pink will do any one of the 4 things listed above! Sign-ups begin at 3pm, the tournament starts around 6pm & its first-come, first-served in this FREE-to-join tournament.

Keep in mind from now on trade boxes cannot take up more than 5 square feet. To clarify 5 square feet is an area that is 5 feet by 1 foot, 2 & a half feet by 2 feet, or any other way that takes up that much space. Trade boxes can be more than one box; they just need to fit in that much space. We will make exceptions for those who bring art or homebrews. If you bring something you made yourself we will not prevent you from putting out both that & an appropriately sized trade box. We will also make exceptions if you have items that themselves are large, like boxed systems or special editions to certain games. If you brought a CIB Steel Battalion we’re not going to make you pack up half of your other items in your trade box. We will ask you to pack up some things if you bring a lot of large items. We cannot have such large trade boxes anymore because it’s a fire hazard.

Remember to get your trade boxes in order so we can all buy, sell & trade together. Wear your NAVA or Digital Press t-shirt for the maximum discount on store purchases. Also, bring your Nintendo 3DS to share street passes... it's NAVA time!
