This Month's NAVA: It’s back to school season and we’re gonna learn ya’ll real good with some puzzle games! The entire NAVA will have puzzle games center stage like Yoshi’s Cookie. We’ll help our friend Arle pop some Puyo slimes in Puyo Puyo to help her on her adventure. Also we will see the good doctor Dr.Mario to treat the viruses that plague us. The ever popular Tetris Attack will make its appearance along with many other versions of the Tetris series.

Arcade challenge! Our arcade challenge this month will be a game from the popular puzzle series from Japan; Puyo Puyo 2. In the states you may be more familiar with its localized ports such as Kirby’s Avalanche or Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine. The story of Puyo Puyo 2 is our hero Arle Nadja must conquer a tower filled with evil Puyo Puyo opponents or else Satan will force her to marry him. That is the actual story of the game. Aside from the story the game is in every way exactly like its American ports mentioned earlier. A pair of colored slimes will be given to you Tetris style and you must match them with 4 slimes of the same color and stack combos for extra points. Be the best at the game on this one day by logging the highest score on our arcade cabinet by 9pm and win a nifty $20 gift certificate and possibly get your name added to the "House Champion" tournament plaque on the Wall of Fame just above the arcade section of the store. Arcade challenge games are set to FREE PLAY all day, but please remember to let everyone get a shot. If you get the high score, move on, and no hogging the cabinet! Also if you have won last month’s NAVA arcade challenge you are no eligible to win this month’s challenge.

Tournament! We had a hard time picking between Dr.Mario and Tetris for this month’s tournament so we thought; why not both? This month we’re having a Tetris & Dr.Mario Mixed Match mode for the SNES. If you’re unfamiliar with this mode of play; it plays a lot like the Nintendo World Championship 1990 game cart does. You are given a certain amount of time in game to complete 10 lines in Tetris, defeat 20 viruses in Dr.Mario, and for the remainder of the time limit you play Tetris. After the timer goes off the game adds up all the points you racked up for each game and whoever has the largest total wins! Sign-ups begin at 3pm, the tournament starts around 6pm and its first-come, first-served in this FREE-to-join tournament.
Remember to get your trade boxes in order so we can all buy, sell and trade together. Wear your NAVA or Digital Press t-shirt for the maximum discount on store purchases. Also, bring your Nintendo 3DS to share street passes... it's NAVA time!
