- We blasted baddies in our Virtua Cop tournament which featured special contestants such as Han Solo and Chewbacca, but in the end Michael R. won it all.
- The arcade challenge was E-SWAT and Chris A. got the high score of 443,900, and walked away with a $20 gift certificate for his prize.
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.

This Month's NAVA: It’s the 3rd Digital Press Starcade! That’s right we’re bringing back the 1983 game show Starcade. If you are unfamiliar with the show, it ran from 1982 to 1983 and as advertised in the show’s opening it was “TV’s first video arcade game show. A game show for today!” It was a show where contestants answered trivia questions based on arcade games in order to pick which arcade game would be played for the highest score in the allowed time in order to win fabulous prizes such as a the Casio VL Tone or the White’s Metal Detector, but the grand prize winner won their very own video arcade game cabinet! In our last Starcade Mike M., Captain S. and the Angry Video Game Nerd competed against one another and the Angry Video Game Nerd won the competition.  The whole store will be set up with videogames systems playing ports of some of the best games to grace the arcades at the time of Starcade. If you missed out on watching Starcade while it was broadcasted, your in luck because most of the episodes are available on their website starcade.tv

Arcade challenge! The first video arcade game ever played on television on Starcade was Time Pilot. The game was chosen by John Cantu but his score of 4200 was beat by young orphan Annie impersonator Heidi Starfield with 5000. For our arcade challenge you’ll get more than 40 seconds to play and hopefully beat 5000. If you are unfamiliar with the game Time Pilot it’s a lot like the movie from Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode 821 Time Chasers. If your unfamiliar with that as well Starcade’s announcer Kevin McMahan described it as: “If you’ve ever dreamed of a journey through time get ready because you’re about to become the Time Pilot.; racing your sleek jet at mock speed, encountering a century of flying machines from the 1910 biplane to the UFOs of the future. Rescue parachuting pilots for extra points as you race through time. A hundred years will pass before the eyes of the Time Pilot.” Be the best at the game on this one day by logging the highest score on our arcade cabinet by 9pm and win a nifty $20 gift certificate and possibly get your name added to the "House Champion" tournament plaque on the Wall of Fame just above the arcade section of the store. Arcade challenge games are set to FREE PLAY all day, but please remember to let everyone get a shot. If you get the high score, move on, and no hogging the cabinet!  Also if you have won last month’s NAVA arcade challenge you are no eligible to win this month’s challenge.

Tournament! Instead of the usual tournament we have every month, were having a Starcade competition.  Three teams of two will compete against one another to become the winner of Digital Press’ Starcade and earn their names on the Wall of Fame. The contestants will answer trivia questions based on arcade games and whichever team buzzes in first with the correct answer gets to choose the arcade game that the teams will play for that round. At the end of the competition all the points will be added up to decide the winning team. The contestants have already been chosen, and the competition will begin at 6pm.

Remember to get your trade boxes in order so we can all buy, sell and trade together. Wear your NAVA or Digital Press t-shirt for the maximum discount on store purchases. Also, bring your Nintendo 3DS to share street passes... it's NAVA time!
