NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, and chatter.

Previously at NAVA...
- We returned from E3 in June to pay homage to the current generation of game systems: XBox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii.
- The arcade challenge was Vs. Dr. Mario, Chris A once again took the loot with a high score of 110,000.
- The 6pm tournament was PlayStation All-Stars, Mike Rosamilia emerged victorious.
- A new arcade cabinet, DJ MAX Technika 3, was unveiled.
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.

This month! Since we spent the last NAVA dedicated to the current generation, we're dialing it way back in the interest of classic karma. Not ALL the way back, at least not this time, but to a familiar and groundbreaking era known in the wikipedia world as "The Second Generation of Video Games". The second generation is basically represented by the first wave of cartridge-based systems, starting with the Fairchild Channel F which was the very first of its kind. We'll have the Channel F out and available to play as well as the favorites of that generation including Colecovision, Intellivision, and Vectrex. And of course, the champion of the era, the Atari 2600 (which is always playable on our kiosk).

Arcade challenge! There were so many arcade games represented in this era that it's impossible to pick just one, so instead we decided to pick something from our "Driving Cabinet", as we've never hosted a challenge from that machine before. Looking over the games from that era, one really stood out. Namco's Pole Position took the gaming world by storm in 1982, and at NAVA, we're going to find out who is the king of that particular storm. Be the best at the game on this one day by logging the highest score on our arcade cabinet by 9pm and win a nifty $20 gift certificate and possibly get your name added to the "House Champion" tournament plaque on the Wall of Fame just above the arcade section of the store. Arcade challenge games are set to FREE PLAY all day, but please remember to let everyone get a shot. If you get the high score, move on, and no hogging the cabinet!

Tournament! It's been a long time since we gathered around the Intellivision for a tournament, so let's have at it! We've chosen a favorite of ours, Snafu. Snafu plays a lot like the many "Snake" games you can find on hundreds of Flash and free app sites, but there's nothing quite as much fun as this pioneer in the field on the Intellivision. An age-old NAVA question will be answered: Who's got the biggest snake? Sign-ups begin at 3pm, the tournament starts around 6pm and it's first-come, first-served in this FREE-to-join tournament.

Remember to get your trade boxes in order and wear your NAVA or Digital Press t-shirt for the maximum discount on store purchases. And don't forget to bring your Nintendo 3DS to share street passes... it's NAVA time!
