NAVA Gamer's Meeting, April 28th: "It's a Jungle Out There"

NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, and chatter.

Previously at NAVA...
- In March's "NABA", we temporarily changed the charter of our event to board games. Dubbed "NABA" we busted out a few tables and sat around for some pre-electronic fun.
- The arcade challenge was the curious entry in the Pac-Man series called "Professor Pac-Man". Chris A walked away victorious and $20 richer.
- Hungry Hungry Hippos was the 6pm tournament game, and Mike "TonyTheTiger" was the hungriest. You can't make this stuff up.
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.

Pictures tell it best:

This month! We're going APE over this next gathering. Seriously, no MONKEYing around, we're going to highlight and play games from all eras that involve the simian species. Our favorite, Donkey Kong, will take center stage. Expect Donkey Kong Country, Super Monkey Ball, Congo Bongo, and Tarzan as highlighted titles. It's a JUNGLE out there. Here.

Request! We always appreciate when people bring snacks and beverages. If you happen to be one of those considerate people, be creative! Banana and/or tropical-flavored things would be in perfect harmony with the day's theme.

Arcade challenge! Our newest arcade machine is Donkey Kong 3, and we're going to find out who's the king on this game. Be the best at the game on this one day by logging the highest score on our arcade cabinet by 8pm and win a nifty $20 gift certificate as well as have your name added to the "House Champion" tournament plaque on the Wall of Fame just above the arcade section of the store. Arcade challenge games are set to FREE PLAY all day. Get your practicing in now!

Remember to get your trade boxes in order and wear your NAVA t-shirt (or get one) for the maximum discount on store purchases... it's NAVA time!
