This month we went on a figurative Road Trip, NAVA style! With rockets, explosions and rocket launchers! We had a Super Sprint arcade challenge; which Aristotle won, on our Driving MAME Cabinet and a Rocket League tournament; which Frankie won!
We had a pretty good turn out for our Ultra Street Fighter IV tournament. We did delay the tournament an hour because many contestants were calling in stating they were stuck in traffic due to multiple accidents on multiple highways in the area. Never the less the show must go on!
Last month we left out a suggestion box for NAVA goers to suggest what we would have at the next NAVA. The most popular Arcade challenge was Galaga and the most popular tournament suggestion was Street Fighter.
We had a much lighter turn out for Mario Kart 8 than we did for Smash last month, but it was still a good time. Lots of fun and cash prizes were had. We set up consoles at opening this time and we had people playing Mario Kart for hours before the tournament even started.
This month we escaped the heat by burrowing underground. We played such games as Mr. Driller, Dig Dug and H.E.R.O. The winner of our Mr. Driller competition, Christian, won himself a 3 day pass to Too Many Games, which at the time was on day 2
This tournament marked the return of our monthly tournaments; Friday Night Fisticuffs! We had a much larger turn out than originally anticipated; over one hundred participants! The night was long and rules had to be changed to account for the sheer mass of participants.
